Antenatal, Perinatal & Postnatal Care
We will give you Antenatal care in addition to your NHS provisions. This is to ensure your pregnancy is progressing without any complications and to detect early warning signs. We will review your scans with you, and answer any questions that you may have to give clarity and meaning to your results, to enable you to make a Well Informed Decision.
We, at EMS, understand that when women develop trust and are informed of their Safety Needs and associated risks, Early Warning Signs for Early Interventions will be voiced. When you book into our services we will provide you a Pregnancy Companion who like 'Doulas' will support you with your every need, who in turn is answerable to your allocated Midwife.
Postnatally, our Midwives and Health Visitors will monitor you through a combination of Virtual and Face to Face visits to provide you with support and empowering tools to ensure the continued Health and Safety of both Mother, Baby and Significant others.
Our Pregnancy Companions represent the majority of our staff and fulfill a role akin to that of a Doula. Distinctively, our Pregnancy Companions are trained in both Doula practices and a Midwifery Program. They are accountable for their actions and omissions, adhering to a Midwife's Code of Conduct at the local level, and are directly answerable to their designated Midwife.
Our Pregnancy Companions undergo annual updates, are encouraged to maintain a Professional Portfolio, and receive support in advancing their careers within this profession. They provide comprehensive support throughout every stage of pregnancy and the postnatal period, offering physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance.
Our Pregnancy Companions are trained to deliver services such as Aromatherapy, Massage, Reflexology, and TENS utilizing state-of-the-art Equipment.
